The 2026 Honda Passport is getting a rugged overhaul with a new design, increased capability, and improved technology.

Honda has completely redesigned the Passport with an emphasis on off-road readiness and versatility. Across the lineup the 2026 Passport has definitely been in the gym—the midsize SUV shows up with wider, aggressively flared fenders, along with new-look LED headlights and taillights, and a cute little hood scoop.

TrailSport models add off-road-focused elements like orange powder-coated recovery hooks, steel skid plates, and exclusive 18-inch wheels with General Grabber all-terrain tires. Unique paint colors, Sunset Orange and Ash Green Metallic, further distinguish the TrailSport trims.

Under the hood, the 2026 Passport features Honda's 3.5-liter DOHC V6 engine making 285 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft of torque. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission the combo offers 5,000 pounds of towing capacity.

Honda’s second-generation torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system is standard, Honda says it delivers 40% more torque and offers quicker response to tackle slick or uneven terrain. TrailSport models boast an off-road-tuned suspension and selectable drive modes like Trail and Tow.

Inside the cabin, the 2026 Passport is more spacious and tech-forward, including standard Body Stabilizing Seats and a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility. The TrailSport Elite trim adds premium features like ventilated leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and a Bose 12-speaker premium audio system.

Additionally, The TrailWatch camera system, exclusive to the TrailSport Elite, provides real-time tire path visuals to navigate obstacles.

There's also an updated Honda Sensing suite, featuring a new wide-angle camera and radar system, Traffic Jam Assist, and expanded Blind Spot Information. Eight airbags, including knee airbags for the driver and front passenger, are standard. Cargo space has grown up to 83.5 cubic feet of room and includes a redesigned underfloor storage area.

Slated to arrive at dealerships early next year, the fourth-generation Passport lineup will include just three trims—RTL, TrailSport, and the new TrailSport Elite—with starting prices expected in the mid-$40,000s.
