Genesis Recalls Nearly 84,000 Vehicles Over Faulty Instrument Panels
Genesis is recalling 83,877 vehicles over a software error that can cause the instrument panel display to shut off. The affected vehicles include the 2026 G80, GV80, G80 "Electrified," GV60, GV70 "Electrified" and GV70 vehicles. So basically, everything other than the G70 and G90.
The quick solution for now is to have owners turn-off the high definition (HD) radio feature until the recall has been performed. Genesis will perform an audio/video navigation software updated over-the-air (OTA), or owners can have their vehicles inspected and updated by a dealer, free of charge. Owners of affected vehicles should have recall letters mailed out by March 16, 2026. In the meantime, owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741.
