Jeep Cherokee Recalled for Power Loss
Jeep has issued a recall for 61,711 versions of the 2019-2023 Jeep Cherokee. The issue has to do with the power transfer unit (PTU) that may fail. It will render the vehicle powerless and could cause a rollaway.
A fix is not yet ready, and the brand states it's currently under development. Letters that detail the safety risks are expected to be mailed to owners on June 25, 2026. A secondary letter will be mailed once the remedy has been put in place. In the meantime, owners may contact Jeep customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
