Jeep will showcase a new special edition Wrangler on the 12th day of every month, starting with the return of the Moab trim.

Jeep on Wednesday announced a new product offensive for the venerable Wrangler. Dubbed Twelve 4 Twelve, the plan involves an "airdrop" of a new, limited-edition model every month for 12 months, arriving on the 12th day of each. It begins today with the Wrangler Moab 392, a special edition of the V8-powered off-roader that carries a more approachable price tag.

The Moab is billed as a back-to-basics Wrangler—or at least, as much as a 470-horsepower example can be. It crams the 6.4-liter V8 under the cold-air intake hood a la Rubicon 392, and keeps that models electronic front and rear locking differentials along with the front sway-bar disconnect. Buyers will also nab the 17-inch beadlock capable wheels wrapped in 35-inch all-terrain tires. The Moab comes complete with the shorter 4.56 axle ratio, Selec-Trac full-time transfer case, and a standard dual-mode exhaust to announce its presence. Body-color fender flares and a hardtop roof contrast with the standard rock rails and black tow hooks. Inside, the Nappa leather seats are also black.

Options are limited, with only the Sky one-touch powertop, WARN winch, and all-weather floor mats available. Order books are now open, starting from $81,990 including destination in the US (Canadian pricing was unavailable at time of writing).

The Moab leads the charge for an updated '26 Wrangler lineup. Still offering three distinct engine choices, the new model year brings a host of improvements including an improved door hinge system for easier removal. New colors include the Reign hue pictured here, along with later availability for Goldilocks, Earl Grey, Joose, and returning Tuscadero. Two-door Willys models now gain the option of steel front bumpers and the Warn winch, previously restricted to the four-door.

Jeep says hints about future Twelve 4 Twelve drops are out there for eagle-eyed fans, on the official website as well as the accompanying "Operation Airdrop" video series. The second special edition will launch December 12.
