WardsAuto has released its annual list of the top 10 best engines of the past year.

Seven automakers landed on Wards 10 Best Car Interiors list for the first time.

The 2016 Wards 10 best engines list has been released with electrified powertrains paving the way.

Based on 46 candidates, Ward’s Auto just released its list of the top 10 best interiors of 2013, heavily favoring Asian vehicles. As is usual, the cars aren’t listed in any particular order.

Each year, Ward’s Auto grabs ten of its editors to evaluate 40 new or significantly upgraded engines to determine the best engines of the model year. The list has just been revealed, with a continuing trend of four-cylinders finding their way onto the list. Here’s Ward’s Auto 10 Best Engines for 2013 in no particular order.

According to a report from Ward’s Auto, an inherent shortage of small and medium sized cars (mostly due to supply issues relating to Japanese automakers), have resulted in an overall drop in fuel economy ratings when it comes to passenger cars and light trucks.

The annual Ward’s Auto list of 10 best engines gets a pretty decent amount of publicity, in light of how little people pay attention to the publication in the other 364 days of year.
