2016 Chevy Silverado HD Gets Towing Focused Update
Chevrolet has updated its lineup of Heavy Duty trucks for 2016 with new technology.
The biggest change is the addition of a system Chevy calls Digital Steering Assist, which the brand claims will enhance road holding and stability on the highway, whether the truck is loaded or not. It’s supposed to deliver better steering feel overall, though it is not available on Work Truck models or with regular cab models.
A new Gooseneck/5th Wheel Trailering Prep package, with spray-in bedliner, is also now available straight from the factory on these trucks.

On the inside, a new 7-inch touchscreen system is available that comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, while an eight-inch screen is also available, though it is only compatible with CarPlay at this time. Android Auto will eventually be added to the bigger screen.
Wireless charging is also being added to the HD pickups in 2016, along with three new exterior colors: Siren Red tintcoat, Red Hot and Butte Red Metallic.
