Nissan Project NAT2 SCCA Touring 2 Concept: All The Details
Explore Project NAT2, an authentic grassroots race car built by the Nissan Acceleration Team (NAT) to tackle Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Touring 2 competition.
Under the hood sits a competition-prepped VR30DDTT 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 fitted with class-mandated 38mm inlet restrictors, a NISMO cold-air intake, Z1 Motorsports tuning, and a single-exit GT4 stainless steel exhaust. An aggressive cooling suite—including an upgraded radiator, NISMO heat exchanger, auxiliary oil cooler, and differential cooler—ensures thermal stability under grueling race conditions.
The exterior wears a heritage-inspired racing livery designed by NISMO Design Japan, wrapped by Flying Lizard Motorsports and accented by functional Trackspec Engineering hood louvers. Down below, 18x11-inch NISMO-designed GT4 RAYS forged wheels wrapped in 275/35ZR18 Maxxis RC-1 slick rubber house track-spec brakes featuring Z1 monoblock six-piston front calipers on 380mm two-piece floating rotors.
Inside, the cabin is completely gutted down to bare metal to shed weight. A Huffmaster Motorsports SCCA-spec roll cage surrounds a Sabelt X-Pad halo seat, six-point harness, and flat-bottom Sabelt wheel with a Zestek quick-release. Complete with custom 3D-printed switch panels, AiM data-logging telemetry, and a Lifeline fire suppression system, this gallery captures an uncompromising, purpose-built road racer.
