Audi Q9 Interior: All The Details

First look at the interior of Audi's upcoming and first-ever, full-size SUV. Positioned as a direct competitor to the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS, the Q9 marks a significant expansion for the manufacturer, particularly for the North American market where consumer demand for three-row exclusivity remains high. The vehicle debuts several technical milestones for the brand, including fully automated power-entry doors and a panoramic sunroof utilizing switchable liquid crystal technology to eliminate traditional mechanical blinds. Inside, the focus shifts toward a sanctuary-like environment, offering six- or seven-seat configurations with premium materials such as open-pore ash and Dinamica microfiber. Innovative sensory features, such as seat-integrated 4D sound actuators and an interactive lighting architecture, further distinguish the Q9 from its smaller siblings. While technical specifications regarding the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture and powertrain options are being held until the world premiere on July 28, 2026, the Q9 is expected to offer a range of mild-hybrid and eventually plug-in hybrid systems. This new flagship represents Audi’s clearest signal yet that the future of luxury is defined by the depth of the in-car experience.
