2028 Volvo XC60 PHEV: All The Details

The updated 2028 Volvo XC60 brings restyled exterior accents, an upgraded cabin architecture, and a major battery overhaul for the flagship plug-in hybrid T8 variant.

A new 37.9-kWh usable battery pack repositions from the center tunnel to the floor. An EPA-estimated all-electric range reaches 78 miles, doubling the previous model's capacity. Total system output remains at 455 hp, while torque rises to 560 lb-ft. Combined gas-electric range reaches 590 miles.

Inside, the cabin gains available Cardamom Nappa leather, warm wood trim, hidden ambient lighting, and an 11.2-inch touchscreen with integrated Google Gemini AI assistance.

The updated XC60 arrives at North American dealerships in early 2027.
