2026 Lexus ES: All The Details

Lexus has officially unveiled the all-new 2026 ES sedan at the Auto Shanghai show, ushering in a bold new chapter for the long-running nameplate. Now in its eighth generation, the redesigned ES brings significant updates to its styling, technology, powertrains, and packaging, along with the addition of a fully electric model.

Visually, the new ES draws heavily from Lexus’s LF-ZL concept.

Trading the brand’s once-dominant spindle grille for a smoother, more cohesive front fascia.

Gloss black body trim and a sculpted side profile give the ES a more aggressive stance.

A charging port on the front fender signals the availability of an all-electric version.

While the rear features a full-width LED light bar and large “Lexus” script replacing the traditional badge.

Lexus has stretched the ES significantly.

The car now measures 202.3 inches long with a 116.1-inch wheelbase, a 6.5-inch increase in total length over the previous generation.

Width and height are also up, helping increase interior space, especially rear headroom.

Higher trims include rear-seat massagers, an armrest-integrated climate control panel, and a dimmable panoramic glass roof.

Inside, the ES adopts a minimalist design with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch central infotainment display.

A distinctive “bamboo” interior theme—complete with 3D-printed finishes—adds flair to the upgraded cabin.

Touch-sensitive controls and a traditional volume knob remain below the screen.

Lexus confirmed that the ES will not replace the LS, which remains in the lineup.

Built on an updated TNGA GA-K platform, the 2026 ES adopts a multi-link rear suspension and gains optional all-wheel steering, improving handling and low-speed maneuverability.
