2025 Polestar 3 Long Range Single Motor: All The Details
Polestar is adding a new base model to the 2025 Polestar 3 lineup, introducing a Long Range Single Motor variant with less power, slower acceleration, and a simpler suspension—but also potentially more appeal for pragmatic EV buyers.
The new rear-wheel-drive Polestar 3 produces 299 horsepower, a significant drop from the 489 hp in the existing dual-motor version. That translates to a slower 0–60 mph time—about 7.6 seconds versus roughly 4.6. It also loses the adjustable air suspension of the AWD model in favor of passive steel springs.
But here’s the tradeoff: the single-motor model is lighter, less complex, and expected to offer more range on a full charge. Polestar hasn’t confirmed EPA estimates yet, but the brand says the Long Range Single Motor will have “the longest range in the Polestar 3 lineup.” The dual-motor model currently tops out at 315 miles.
