The 10 Most Reliable Used Cars Available Today
A new study analyzed over 700,000 used car listings and odometer readings from 368 million vehicles to determine which used models offer the best balance of reliability, longevity, and value.
The research focused on 5-year-old and 10-year-old vehicles, comparing their average prices with estimated remaining lifespan to identify the best-used car deals.
The study from iSeeCars found that the average price of a 5-year-old used car is $26,206, with prices fluctuating based on demand and supply chain disruptions. Buyers looking for dependability over a decade or more should focus on models with proven reliability records—a factor that can save thousands of dollars in repairs and replacements over time.
As new car prices continue to climb, these findings reinforce that buying used can be a smarter financial decision, especially when choosing a model that’s built to last.
