Red Bull Has A Special Honda Paint Job For Japanese GP
Red Bull Racing has revealed a special livery for this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix. The traditional white Japanese livery is a tribute to its engine partner, Honda—this race will be Honda’s final home event with Red Bull before the team starts using a Ford powertrain next year.

The livery is a tribute to the Honda RA272, the car that helped Richie Ginther secure Honda’s first Formula 1 victory at the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix.
The nose of the car has the same red sun number plate as the RA272, symbolizing the "Land of the Rising Sun."
The nosecone features a special memorial logo marking the 60th anniversary of Ginther’s historic victory.
Along with the livery, the Honda logos on the car have been updated to resemble those used in the 1960s
Although Honda officially ended its engine partnership with Red Bull that year, although it still provides engines for the team.
The special livery is also a personal milestone for Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda, who joins Red Bull for this race.
He expressed his excitement, saying, “To be honest, I never expected to be racing for Red Bull at the Japanese Grand Prix. This feels like fate.”
Tsunoda also spoke about his goals for the race, saying, "I don’t want to raise expectations too much, but for this Japanese Grand Prix, I want to finish on the podium."
"That said, I know it won’t be easy right from the start." He emphasized that his priority would be to get familiar with the car’s behavior during the practice sessions.
