At the 2024 SEMA Show, Kia unveiled two off-road-focused electric vehicle concepts: the EV9 ADVNTR and the PV5 WKNDR. These concepts highlight Kia's dedication to combining electric mobility with outdoor adventure.
EV9 Advntr Concept
Based on the EV9 electric SUV, the ADVNTR concept features a three-inch suspension lift, reinforced rocker panels, and custom front and rear fascias to enhance off-road capabilities. It is equipped with all-terrain tires and a custom roof rack designed to accommodate both standard luggage and bespoke rooftop tents, catering to overlanding enthusiasts.
PV5 Wkndr Concept
The WKNDR concept is built on Kia's Purpose Built Vehicle (PBV) platform, designed for small business and delivery functions. This off-road van includes a modular interior that can be customized for various uses, likened to a "Swiss Army Knife on wheels." It features the "Gear Head," an innovative storage solution providing off-board, sheltered space for gear when stationary, maximizing interior space. The van is also equipped with solar panels and unique hydro turbine wheels capable of recharging the batteries, supporting self-sufficiency during extended outdoor excursions.
