Kia EV2 Concept Previews Tiny Electric Crossover
Kia is expanding its electric lineup with the EV2 concept, a compact, boxy EV designed for urban environments. The concept gives a first look at a production model set to arrive next year, though Kia has yet to confirm exactly which global markets will receive it.

The EV2 straddles the line between a hatchback and a small crossover, featuring short overhangs, rugged plastic cladding, and a minimalist aesthetic.
Kia hasn’t released any powertrain or range specs yet, but the EV2 is expected to slot below the EV3, which is already confirmed for North America.
Inside, the EV2 follows Kia’s trend of clean, high-tech interiors, featuring a dual-screen setup and an octagonal, single-spoke steering wheel.
The rear seats can fold completely to extend legroom for front-seat passengers, a feature that could carry over into production.
Kia also included removable triangular speakers, pop-up sliding luggage dividers, and a flat floor layout to maximize interior space.
Unlike some EV makers stripping away physical controls, Kia has been one of the few automakers to retain physical buttons for improved usability.
With Kia’s EV expansion moving fast, the EV2 production model is expected to be officially revealed next year, bringing another option to the growing market of compact, budget-friendly EVs.
It's unclear if the EV2 will come stateside, it will most likely compete in Europe’s growing small EV market.
The EV2’s size suggests a potential smaller EV1 in the future, possibly as an electric successor to the Kia Picanto.
Kia has already classified the EV2 as a B-segment vehicle, leaving room in the lineup for an even more affordable, entry-level EV below it.
