The 2026 Subaru Solterra receives a 25% range increase, now offering over 285 miles from a 74.7-kWh battery with improved charging up to 150 kW.
All models gain updated styling, a new 14-inch infotainment screen, and standard NACS charging access to Tesla’s Supercharger network.
Subaru says the Solterra and the new Trailseeker debut the company's new EV lighting signature, including an illuminated logo and redesigned headlamps joined by a new front bumper design.
Subaru says certain paint colors will get body-color fenders for a sleeker, urban look, but two-tone configurations will still be available. There are also newly designed 20- and 18-inch wheel choices.
The changes are less dramatic in the rear—the Subaru emblem is replaced by block text, and there's a redesigned spoiler treatment.
Ground clearance remains at 8.3 inches, which Subaru says is best in class among small electric SUVs.
There's a new XT trim offering 338 horsepower—same as the Toyota bZ4X. Subaru claims the XT will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under five seconds.
For 2026, the Solterra now features a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery, pushing estimated range beyond 285 miles—an increase of more than 25 percent over the original.
Inside, the Solterra gains a new 14-inch multimedia screen as standard equipment, compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
All versions of the Solterra continue to offer Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and include the brand’s X-MODE terrain management system with modes for snow, dirt, and mud
The 2026 Solterra is expected to arrive at dealers later this year, with detailed pricing and trim specifications promised closer to market launch.
