At the Seoul Mobility Show in Goyang, Korea, Genesis unveiled two new concept vehicles: the X Gran Coupe and the X Gran Convertible. The X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible bring a more refined, sporty edge to the brand's vision for its future.

While the X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible are still concepts, Genesis’ vision for its future in luxury sports cars is clear. Genesis describes the concepts as marking the beginning of a new era, but it’s important to note that the company has yet to produce a coupe or convertible for sale.

The X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible are based on the full-size Genesis G90 sedan, making them larger two-door vehicles that emphasize the brand’s desire to elevate its status.

Both cars feature the familiar two-line headlights that have become synonymous with Genesis, extending into the widened fenders to accentuate the vehicle’s wide track. The front grille, inspired by woven metal strings arranged in a diamond shape, is flanked by two deep intakes, completing the car’s sporty yet recognizable look.

While the performance details remain under wraps, the concepts feature an elongated hood to enhance their sporty silhouette. Speculation suggests adjustable suspension, all-wheel drive, multi-piston brakes, and possibly the 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 with an e-supercharger, though this remains to be confirmed.

Inside, the concepts take a more artistic approach, with nature-inspired themes. The X Gran Coupe's interior is inspired by Mediterranean olive trees, with olive leaf motifs on the floor mats and olive wood veneer that features microperforated lighting. The leather is naturally tanned using wastewater from Italian olive oil production.

The X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible both feature a more aggressive design, with a steeper raked windshield and a lower roofline compared to the G90 sedan. The reduction of two doors allows for a longer body, providing easier access to the rear seats. Additionally, the cars boast frameless windows, which adds to their sleek appearance.

Meanwhile, the X Gran Convertible embraces the spirit of fine wines, with exterior paint designed to resemble pressed grapes, and interior color schemes reflecting the hues of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

Crystals are incorporated into the steering wheel, center console, and ventilation systems for added luxury. The front seats feature embedded screens, and rear passenger air vents complete the upscale touches.
