2027 Scout Terra Pickup Truck: All The Details
The upcoming 2027 Scout Terra Pickup is a revival of the iconic Scout brand, now an electric truck built for rugged off-road performance.
The Terra Pickup, alongside the Traveler SUV, aims to blend classic Scout design with modern EV tech, created on Scout's proprietary body-on-frame platform. Targeted at off-road enthusiasts, it boasts robust mechanical features like up to 35-inch tires, front and rear mechanical lockers, and a solid rear axle.
The Terra offers about 350 miles of range per charge, with an optional onboard gas-powered generator (the "Harvester") extending this to over 500 miles. This setup could be ideal for those venturing far from established charging infrastructure.
The truck has a towing capacity exceeding 10,000 pounds and supports up to 2,000 pounds of payload. Inside, it includes retro-inspired design cues with practical, tactile controls and an available front bench seat. Additional features include the North American Charging Standard (NACS), 800-volt architecture, and rapid 350 kW charging capabilities.
Scout has priced the Terra to start in the low $50,000s (with incentives), and pre-orders are open for a refundable $100. Production is set to kick off in 2027. This combination of classic styling and high-tech capability positions the Terra as a distinctive competitor in the electric truck market.
