2025 Shelby GT350: All The Details
Shelby American is bringing back the GT350 nameplate for 2025, but this time, it’s taking a fresh approach. The result is a high-powered modern Mustang with the performance to match its legendary badge.

Unlike the Ford-Shelby collaboration of the past, the new GT350 is an entirely Shelby-driven project, developed in partnership with Michigan-based Turn Key Automotive/Motorsports.
Supercharged Version: Equipped with a Whipple supercharger, the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 generates 810 horsepower.
Naturally Aspirated Version: Retains the 480-horsepower rating from the stock Mustang GT, offering a more accessible option for enthusiasts.
Opt for the GT350R variant, and the output climbs to 830 hp, making it one of the most powerful Mustangs Shelby has ever built.
Both versions come with a choice of a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, and each gets a reworked exhaust system for a more aggressive sound. The GT350R will only be offered as a six-speed manual.
Shelby is also developing a track-only version in collaboration with Turn Key Automotive/Motorsports for Trans Am racing
“We increased horsepower by almost 70 percent, tuned the suspension, opened up the exhaust, smoothed the aerodynamics, and gave it more sex appeal,” said Vince LaViolette, Shelby American’s vice president of operations.
Shelby’s updates aren’t limited to raw power. Engineers tuned the suspension for a balance of track performance and everyday comfort. Aerodynamic improvements enhance functionality, while styling updates give the GT350 a purposeful and aggressive look.
Shelby will build just 562 units of the GT350, mirroring the production run of the original 1965 GT350.
The supercharged GT350 starts at $104,999. Pricing for the naturally aspirated GT350 and GT350R has not yet been announced.
Sales will be handled through Shelby-authorized Ford dealerships, with production beginning later this year.
