2025 Ford Mustang GTD: Road To The Ring
Ford just did what no other American automaker has managed to pull off: a sub-seven-minute lap at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in a production car.
The 2025 Mustang GTD, with Multimatic Motorsports driver Dirk Müller behind the wheel, clocked an official time of 6:57.685 around the 12.9-mile Green Hell. That makes it the fifth-fastest production sports car on record at the Nürburgring and cements the GTD as Ford's next supercar.
These behind-the-scenes photos show the Ford and Multimatic team hard at work during testing, development, and ultimately the car's record-establishing run.
